Rave Reviews of HanJan Patterns!

A fabulous week for HanJan - still riding high on the contributions to Simply Crochet Issue 2 and now some fantastic reviews of my bestselling patterns!

My Zigzag Blanket and Baby Ugg Style Boots have always been great selling patterns mostly from them being pinned and repinned so much! I thought I might share some of the lovely comments that have been left about them...

Danielle of glitter-bug-blog has left a great review of the Baby Boots and some great photos too....just love the busy bee buttons!

'Then came my next project, I was trying to find a free pattern for a cute pair of baby boots but was unsuccessful in finding the level of cuteness I wanted for free so I had to buy a pattern. BOY oh BOY and I glad I did, I purchased the Baby Wrap Around ‘Ugg’ style baby bootie from HanJanCrochet on Etsy and I am so wonderfully pleased at how they turned out. Hannah was just the most wonderful person to deal with and helped me out with detailed emails explaining the parts I didn’t understand. I had the pattern in my inbox the next morning when I woke up. I was so pleased I started straight away, I did have a few hiccups but that was purely because I am not very advanced in understand the terms of crochet and Hannah was more than helpful, she emailed me back in great time and was always kind and informative. I could not have found a better seller to make my first Etsy purchase from and they price was more than reasonable!!!
The booties turned out so adorable,  that after the first pair I made a second to go with the blanket! Aren’t they adorable. If you want a copy of the pattern just head to Hannah’s Etsy shop!'

New Peter Pan Collar Pattern from HanJan
A new pattern to share with you all today - literally hot off the press, I just finished editing it this morning!

Upcycling is so trendy right now - what better way of breathing new life into a dress, top or jacket than adding a gorgeous Peter Pan Collar?

The pattern uses Sirdar Snuggly Kisses yarn so is luxurious and light around your neck and each collar can be personalised with a vintage button from your stash.

There are five sizes included so everyone can have one - baby, toddler, child, teen and adult. Once your friends have seen yours they are sure to ask for one too!
Skill Level - Easy

For each collar you will need:
50g Sirdar Snuggly Kisses Double Knit: 55% nylon, 45% acrylic (165m in 50g)
A 4mm crochet hook
A tapestry needle
A vintage button of your choice from your stash (we all have one....)

As I predicted - this one has come to life before the rustic blanket that I keep talking about....it is still going but have squeezed in time to make some adorable baby loafer shoes to so who knows what will come next!

HanJan Jam Jar Covers
The magazine is jam-packed(!) with great designs, style tips and trends along with a valuable advice article on selling on Etsy and Craftsy. Overall, a fabulous read perfect for curling up with when it's so cold outside!

I also wanted to share a pattern with you that I had almost forgotten all about - my White Shell Lace Blanket. I have just spent a lovely week away with friends, one of which has the gorgeous 8 month old Katie who this blanket was designed for. I'm glad to say it is still going very strong - it is a play mat, a cuddle blanket and lives in her pushchair - a perfect all rounder.

It is made from pure white soft 4ply baby yarn and involves shell panels joined together by rows of double and treble stitches and finished off with a soft ruffle shell edge.

I'm still going on the Rustic Blanket I spoke of before and have been distracted by some cute Peter Pan style collars...they may well make an appearance before the blanket!
